This course will assist the student in developing solid foundation knowledge of ControlLogix Systems. The student will be introduced to basic concepts and terminology, and system hardware. Building upon this knowledge, the student will be provided with the resources and hands‐on practice required to efficiently troubleshoot a previously operational ControlLogix system. This course is intended for individuals who need to maintain and troubleshoot a ControlLogix system but have no current working experience with Logix5000 systems. The course will equip individuals to write, edit and simulate Logix5000 programs as well as troubleshoot hardware and program errors.
The course is broken down into three modules. Each module is taught in five days with a number of practical exercises to equip students with relevant practical skills.
To successfully complete this course, the following prerequisites are required:

  • Experience with basic control and electrical principles
  • Experience operating a personal computer within a Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT environment.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs
