ABOUT THE ROLE
The Tenders and Contracts Engineer oversees the technical and commercial requirements of bids and contract.
FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading the tender committee to meet bid requirement and successfully tender for jobs
- Facilitate end-to-end tendering process
- Coordinate the technical activities of the tender committee
- Be responsible for all commercial activities of the Contracts Team (BOQs, pricing etc.)
- Work with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy
- Coordinate actions with internal procurement and legal teams if needed
- Report status of current tenders / contract processes to management
- Resolve any existing contract conflicts
- Create language standards and rules for existing and new contracts
- Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages
- Manage the procurement issues relating to tender, quotations and contracts
- Lend assistance/support to the Estimation team in day-to-day requirements
- Find opportunities to improve tendering and management contract systems
- Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing, and ensure they are accurately executed and satisfied
- Follow up to guarantee contractual payments have been made
- Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization
- Ensuring tenders and contracts are run according to
- Schedule
- Budget
- Timelines
- Timeliness of claims and invoicing
- Appropriate Documentation for each stage of the tender and zero tolerance for non- responsiveness.
- Feedback and Client Update
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, and Physics (or related science programs)
- Experience in a similar role
